Saturday 25 March 2017- Change to a Quorum

The CSPA Constitution states that a quorum for a General Meeting is 41:

“5.3    There is a quorum at a general meeting if the number of members personally present is 41 or more.”

The Executive Committee have agreed that 41 members of the CSPA is too large and the quorum should be reduced to 11.

For more information on a quorum please see Rules On Line

“In all ordinary societies the by-laws should provide for a quorum as large as can be depended upon for being present at all meetings when the weather is not exceptionally bad.”

As this will involve a change in The Constitution this will have to be approved at an Extraordinary General Meeting.

We will be holding a brief EGM before the Quiz Night on 25 March 2017 to vote for a change to the quorum.
